Axis Credit Card MCC check due to various exceptions

Hi All,

After removal of the official Visa MCC tool, it has been very difficult or time consuming at least to find the MCC provided to a merchant.

While finding a way to check the MCC for various merchant, I came across a website : https://heymax.ai
An account is needed to check the MCC codes but we can find the code easily by providing the merchant name. For now, it suggest the best US cards to use to get the best benefits but just giving the MCC info is also pretty useful to plan our expenses with thousands of exceptions from Axis Bank.




Please note that I have also used it briefly so please use proper diligence and then decide.

"Visa Supplier Locator" tool was a free tool by Visa to check the MCC code of merchants. I think it is still available as a paid tool for developers.

Yes, even this is helpful but it gives the category and not the 4 digit code.

Exactly, as far as I could read even HeyMax uses the same developer option (if selected from drop down) to fetch the information.
