Kotak 811 Account opening

My brother turned 18 so i recommended him the 811 Account. As soon as he added his details it showed some Mr. venugopal has already generated the CRN for the phone number and KYC has failed.

My brother has this number from 1.5 years and his aadhar and pan is linked to this number. Kotak says to go to branch and open the account physically while the branch says 811 Account can only be opened online.

Mails to greivancereadressal and Nodal Officer are also of no use as his email is not registered with Kotak Bank Account. Is there any way his 811 account can be opened now ?
If anyone navigated this please suggest further steps.

okay try this
go to the Branch and ask them the CRN that is attached to your Brother's phone number

if possible find the Branch where the CRN is from
THEN
write an email to Kotak telling them that some customer of 'Theirs' has put your brothers mobile number. Tell them to remove it immediately
Once they delink the number, open account a few days later
 
I guess i can find the CRN. How will know the branch from CRN. E-mail is useless as they want the registered email ID with the account to complain (which is impossible ofc). Phone customer care redirects to the branch.

Are you getting any kotak bank messages? If so, the account has been opened by previous owner and the account may be dead also. It is always safe to take a sim with new number

you personally cannot find the Branch.... you will have to go to a Kotak Branch and pull his CRM, based on your brother's number and then tell them to locate the Branch.
Request your Branch to send an email to that Branch OR if you have an account with Kotak - you send an email to privileged@kotak stating that you are unable to change your number as someone ELSE has misused your other number (which will be your brother's number) and added it to their Account. Tell them to DELINK it ASAP!
 
Ok, I found the CRN and Name by messaging the Kotak Bank number. I will proceed with the mails and calls. Will update soon™
