Is SBI Cashback Credit Card giving 5% cashback for travel category?

Is sbi cashback credit card giving 5% cashback for bus bookings on government apps or flight bookings from cleartrip?

Someone please advice.

I booked flight ticket recently from air asia(Tata NEU) and Flipkart travels. It gave 5% cashback
Also booked hotel via makemytrip gave 5%, all using SBI Cashback card

Government services mcc is 1% so might be a case that mcc is of government or utilities

Did you get a workaround for 5% cashback on gift card purchases from amazon after 1st may?

For cleartrip and goibibo flights I got 5%. For GSRTC bus booking got 1% due to govt service/utilities MCC.

Will see after 1st may. New ways may appear. As of now amazon.in gc with merchant name www amazon in doesn't have excluded mcc. Hoping it will continue.

Yes. Not sure after 1st May 2023. The current MCC is not in exclusion list.

i called sbi card customer they told me you are eligible for 5% but cashback will take 7 days to credit but still not get credited, so i created ticket/mail from sbi card application they take 2 days to reply and give reason that category not eligible for cashback so 0% and they told me that its written in T&C, but as i read all exclude category flight ticket is not in excluding just railway ticket is 0% cashback, so they just lie or hidden t&c they apply on flight ticket booking.

i just hate sbi customer care and there mail service, on call they accept that i am eligible and on mail i am not eligible.

i found people who reporting all website/marchant name in --> Excel sheet (Sheet 2)<-- with help of other cashback card holders and there cashback experience.
please start reporting to this excelsheet so we all know where we get cashback or not.

Not SBI's fault because these sites are reporting the wrong MCC.

can you tell me to which customer care we have to call to ask for MCC code? credit card or merchant/website we have to ask there MCC code?
