Is cashback on sbi cashback credit is considered as bill payment?

Imho it should be counted as payment only atleast in case of sbi cashback credit card that's why they credit it just after bill generation but I will still pay as I don't want to take any risks.
Before bill generation it is counted has payment. Same applicable axis ace and Flipkart axis they credit before bill generation. It get adjusted in bill itself. After bill generation whatever the bill value we have to pay by due date. Cards with redeemable points to cash won't be considered in current bill statement

Simple rule is just check current outstanding if it's reduced after cashback credit then it's considered as payment.

No its not reduced, after bill generation they pay the cashback
Right so after they pay, the remaining outstanding is the amount you should pay. But its upto you to decide if you want to pay back remaining outstanding or billed outstanding.
Even better if it's your first bill payment of cashback card then you will understand how it works after 2-3 months bills payment

Always pay the full bill in cashback cards. Many people have got into trouble thinking that they can deduct the cashback amount and pay only the remaining bill. Consider cashback only as part of next statement cycle. Same thing happens in HDFC Swiggy CC also. The only bank which considers cashback as part of CC bill payment(atleast that I know of) is Jupiter-CSB Edge+CC.

Since you have already contacted customer care about this, there's no point asking TF since it creates unnecessary confusion. Decide what you want to do and take the call appropriately.
Customer care is not always reliable source of information, and I am very sure that this thread is not creating any confusion. Thanks for your comment though.

experience may vary but for me personally using this Specific cashback card from launch day , till date never paid full amount - I always deduct cashback calculation shown on the sbi website or app, no issues at all, simple trick is to pay then ask cc if bill is fully paid or not after the transaction settlement - u can try email reply to keep as proof.

Other SBI cards variants beware never ever take risk of single paisa.

No sbi bbps won't work. I already paid 50% still SBI allowed to pay more than the limit. Bill is 104k. I can pay up to 113k. Cashback won't be counted under bill payment under this month. Next bill it will be adjusted.
If you try to pay more than your current outstanding through bbps.. your transaction will fail..

I have counted cb as payment multiple times.. never charged ever..

Although 3-4 years back charged 2800 for not paying 500(as I received refund) but after rbi rule things changed now

Although as per RBI rule cashback should be adjusted in the current bill. But most banks' tech system is not yet modified according to that rule. Their tech may not be advanced enough to count the cashback into current bill but it is advanced enough to count even Rs.1 shortfall as unpaid dues and then they may charge interest in next month's statement. We'll have a hard time explaining the same to their CC later on. Thats y it is better not to take any chances and pay full. New age fintech apps like Jupiter have a much advanced system thats y u can immediately see the cashback getting adjusted against the bill due. Cant take risk with legacy banks.

Yeah they reverse financial charges, still rules applicable. We can pay till limit in SBI. My bill was 104k - Cashback 6500. Including cashback I paid full.
