HDFC Major System Upgrade during Weekend 13th July - Day time for 13 hours...

Something big is coming on 13th July as far as HDFC Banking IT infrastracture is concerned..
Hopefully it goes smooth and we get bigger and better preformance..
It is scheduled for ~13 hours during a second saturday 3 am to 4.30 PM ..

They did not say any outage specifically , they said there will be some temporary halt in some functionality..
So, act accordingly .. dont plan any important banking activity during this time..

Who knows. It seemed like a server-side upgrade, likely hardware upgradation or capacity increase venture to me. Maybe something else they weren’t touching for years and now must, hence the two-digit number of hours.

If at all there are front-facing changes, I’d be surprised.

I suspect this is a major upgrade to hdfc infrastructure and to some extent front end also.. we dont know..
13.5 hours down time during day time on Saturday is not usual..

Yes... as I have been mentioning that , it is a major upgrade.. and I actually expect some issues after the upgradde is finished..
If the upgrade is seemless then, I would say HDFC is really working hard in their IT systems division and it would be commendable job..
Lets wait and see for tomorrow..

The reason why they chose Saturday is: they have one more buffer day ie. Sunday to fix any unforseen issues..

Got a message 500 is credited to card which I closed few months ago

True, that's the reason.

- Paytm money also under some maintenance.
- HDFC is also upgrading.
- Axis 🪓 Citi Integration

All my financial apps are down for maintenance. What a day 13th July is being.
