Hey TF community,
Need urgent clarity from the pros here!
I’ve been using the HDFC EasyShop Platinum Debit Card with my regular savings account. But now:
🔹 Charges are expected soon for the card (₹*** likely).
🔹 Cashback categories have already been removed or reduced heavily.
🔹 ₹5000 minimum balance is still required, but the value just isn’t adding up anymore.
Now the questions:
👉 Is it even worth keeping this Platinum Debit Card anymore in 2025?
👉 What’s the best downgrade or alternative card for regular savings users?
I mostly use UPI + credit cards now, so a high-maintenance debit card doesn’t make sense unless there's a real benefit.
💬 Would love to hear if you’ve made the switch, fought the charges, or found a better setup.
