HDFC CC BLOCKED EDUCATION payment on UPI

I tried to pay college fees via UPI but phone pe says that the mcc is blocked by the bank and Paytm status is showing processing for a long time. I'm fine with not earning any cashback on the card but straight away blocking certain payment beats the purpose of credit card on UPI. For card transaction I'm being charged Rs 300 extra for Rs 19090 transaction while I earn only Rs ~250, and my UPI limit for bank has exhausted.

was planning to withdraw and pay in cash, hdfc might not give rewards for education mcc. Also just noticed that all my upi payments are failing from my card.

Now facing problems for even regular UPI transactions, alot of times I'm getting the user is blocked.

Even I have faced on phonepay and paytm. I this circumstance you need to define rupay card and again link it . It will work.

But by doing that I would have limit of Rs 5,000 for 24hrs right?

I have added my card in gpay as well 2-3 days ago but it still shows me 24hrs cooldown. I'm only facing problems for transaction value above 5,000.

Nope u can trf it I have done it.delink and relink it.

However ecah persons account t behaves differently. I see many get ltf cards but I don't even get.

it is because transactions above 2k levy mdr and that may be the reason why your transcations are getting declined

Oh, that explains it then. But AFAIK, they can either entirely l enable wallet/prepaid transactions or disable it, there is no in between.

Try once using bhim
