First card for someone without any Credit History

My friend has an ITR of 12 Lakhs and is looking to get a nice card which will help him save on Travel Spends. He has no Credit History nor has he ever got a Credit Card Before. Please suggest which credit card he should get and how to apply. Is ITR of 12 Lakhs enough to apply for MidLux Credit Card like HDFC Mariott Card or Regalia Gold??

1st apply fd based card. like supermoney which they r giving for 1000 only. then apply any card after 1-2 month as per eligibilty.

my preference would be sbi then hdfc axis icici

SBI is too conservative in limits. even if u have 2-3 cards then too they give 50K

Yes but icici amazon pay card if we shop frequently every 6 months they give sometimes more than 100% LE that’s why I suggested in first reply
