CC expiry and new card query

My cc expires in May 2024 and the concerned bank has sent me a new card.

Does the new card also come with 30 day activation period like it happens with a new card? Does that mean i have to activate it before the old card expires or can i wait till may?Should I activate it now or once the old one expires?

First time receiving a card post expiry date hence no sure. Please help how to go about it.

Just start using using the newly received card. Why to take headache of activation period.

As soon as you use the new card, your old card will be deactivated.

If the card no is same, your old PIN will work. Else you will have to generate a PIN
