This case is old one (2021) at that time in SBI notification it was there that if you have default in payments then you're ineligible but if you see recent SBI exams notification in that they have updated that clear your all dues and at the time of joining post, get your cibil updated and collect NOC from agencies.
It doesn't mean that one should default but if you're aspiring to be a banker then you can get your cibil rectified and it won't create a problem
