Is there any way to disable UPI from an account like we can disable credit card usage by disabling from bank login?

SBI allows disabling UPI via their netbanking. There's an option.

Don't know about Paytm but on Gpay disable UPI from Bank account section by clicking Manage UPI option and deleting the UPI ID

ok, but i can again enable from app. My point was is there some control at the bank level, which if I disable, I should not be able to enable UPI from gpay or any app. Someone mentioned above that SBI has that

i don't know about bank level controls for upi but you can always create upi after deleting or disabling it.

I don't think you can disable UPI, except UPI... Anyways you can deregister for UPI in GPay app. Or i think you can turn off online txns in bank

u cant disable upi just like you can disable neft/imps/rtgs. only option is changing mobile number in bank.

As per my knowledge, SBI + HDFC + ICICI these 3 banks are providing UPI transaction disabling.

SBI --> Online SBI
HDFC --> Customer Care
ICICI --> Customer Care
