I know there's a shadow limit ,but its undisclosed
I faced a similar issue with Amex. I have been a member since 2018 and have canceled multiple cards in between. Last month, I received a platinum charge card and spent ₹3.1 lakh, which I paid off before the statement was generated. A customer executive informed me that as a charge card, I could use up to ₹15 lakh. When I checked my spending power, it approved ₹10 lakh.Hi guys i just received the email.
I have never missed any payment
But they reduced my limit to 2.6L
What can be the reason?
Anyone else facing this issue?
Will it increase over time? Or else I’ll close it in renewal
could not agree more ...the issue here is: " uncertainity " .. It kills all the enthusiasm... I find this card problematic and would not recommend it.
Yes but will have shadow limit i thinkIt was never no limit
Have you received any updates on your credit card regarding its limit?I spend around 5-7 Lac monthly
Mine has 9.46 lakhs as initial limit and I thought it was on the low side! I would certainly expect at least 10 lakhs and preferably 25 lakhs plus from Platinum card.My platinum travel card has a limit of 7.15 lakh.😀

They are unable to change the limit, and if I cancel the card, they will not reverse the joining fee. This card is only one month old. I have already raised a complaint with the grievance redressal and CRPM departments of the RBI. Can anyone suggest what else I can do?could not agree more ...the issue here is: " uncertainity " .. I have spoken to customer service about a this. They specifically mentioned I made for utility payments using an Amex card, totaling 8 lakhs (3 lakhs and 5 lakhs in two separate transactions). Their system flagged it as a risk transaction because the charge card was converted to a global limit card. This issue has affected multiple people. Customer care advised that to avoid this, I should use the card for different categories of transactions and avoid personal usage like wallet loads, instead using it for purchases. They stated they can't override their system. The card limit is dynamic and could have been changed because of a change in your credit profile, score, spending patterns or the risk score(they assign towards every profile).
if you think this is a mistake, you can get in touch with the Customer support and ask them to up it again.
If this was genuine, you can adjust your spending and repayment patterns to build more trust and the limit will be increased again soon! 🙂
