Do anyone have idea what's their expectation/ ratio of income vs existing card limit?

Problem is: I have 3 cards from ICICI bank on limit sharing. All cards show higher limit in CIBIL. Similar case with HDFC bank.

I have applied for SBI Octane card, however, the bank reject the application everytime. I have CIBIL of 800+ and decent income. When I approached the RBI Ombudsman to know the reason, I get to know that the cards are being rejected due to overleverage as I have few cards with very good limits...

I have tried by calling and the agent tried and told that the system is denying. Then I got the following message: Dear SBI Credit Cardholder, we wish to inform you that currently you are not eligible for Credit Limit bifurcation on your multi-card accounts. Anyone also facing the same issue?

Even one agent agreed to it, then she said that she is unable to do it on the system. Then she mentioned that as per policy this is not possible.

I hold Simplyclick (3 year old) and CB card (1year old). Want to transfer the limit from simplyclick to CB.

Nothing will happen. You will get the standard reply that due to internal policy. Even if you raised the complaint to RBI, they might call you and give some weird reason.

Quite strange.. I asked to do it, they clearly denied that as per policy this can't be done. I have tried multiple times, same response.

Should have waited atleast till statement generation. Now ask SBI to reactivate the closed card, they will do by doing verification.

I had called multiple times for a transfer limit from simplyclick to CB card. All the agents are saying that limit transfer to cashback card is not possible as per policy.

I also have similar situation. SBI is declining the applications. I had raised a complaint to RBI and then got the call from SBI. She mentioned that since the overall limit on my credit cards is more than my annual income, therefore my applications are getting rejected.

How do you redeem the points on BPCL card?

They had rejected my card. No rejection reason was provided by customer care. When I had complained to RBI ombudsman, got the similar reason. I have few cards with good high limit and overall utilization is 1% only. May be they are not earning from me, so thought of not issuing another card.

Generally loan repayment link doesn't have the option to use credit card as payment mode. I have paid hdfc bank loan processing fees from axis card and it was counted as property management services and charged me 1%.

Unfortunately, I got 10k limit on my Cashback card. I have simplyclick also with 363k limit. Ask them to enhance the limit on cashback card and everytime they rejected the request. Finally ended up closing the cash back card.

Is this offer available to alumni also? Any idea?
