As of now, it's Vistara that runs the offer but time to time, every other airline runs this type of offer. So better to choose the destination and airline first and then wait for the offer of that airline that way, you will end up saving some ER points eventually.
There is no single answer. It totally depends on where you want to use. There are some airmile programs which gives good value while redemption for South-East Asia. There are some other which is good for Middle East and similar goes for Europe and US. Also, the class you want to choose for...
SC points are redeemable as discount while making payment. Check https://www.technofino.in/community/threads/what-is-the-value-of-one-airmile-in-spicejet.3011/#post-104095
Yes. That's the reason I am avoiding AirAsia. I don't want to waste ER points. It's better to choose other airlines where at-least it's clear how to redeem.
Yes. Correct. I was also assuming that the points can be used for india but they are being managed separately and points can only be used in international.
They have the system to redeem while making the payment unlike other airlines. I had transferred 240 points (min) just to check but the redemption option was showing some errors. I called customer care and emailed but no response from anywhere... Not sure how reliable the point system for Airasia..
You can be normal user in Marriott (or any other hotel loyalty programs) and the same goes to FFP also. You get the status by either card (as you mentioned for Amex and Axis) or by fulfilling criteria for that level.
Loyalty status
If a particular status is given by card - You will be on that...
Let's hope to have single FFP which can be used across all tata entities to increase the coverage. That would be great to cover domestic as well as international...
Yeah... Totally agreed... I have seen many videos and articles which suggest opting for business class against miles for best value for miles but forgetting the fact that it mostly may not be the best value for the expense which earned those miles. Same as you mentioned, I would prefer to take 2...
I think that's when Axis will start to win, keeping the customers to spend 1L showing 24%-44% return on spending.
Atleast, infinia/dcb points can be straight away used for booking flights/hotels but for Magnus, unless person knows how to redeem miles (forget efficiently), the person keeps...
I tried exploring AirAsia but I found that airasia.com and airasia.co.in are separate. The points we get by conversion goes to airasia.com and even on that I don't see option for redemption. They provide option to redeem them at the time of payment (unlike other airlines) but it showed me...
When you buy miles, the rate is almost constant (assuming no offers), but the redemption rate of the miles totally depends on how it is used.
Couple of members have shared the experience in this post where they were able to get more value from the mile.
