you're mistaken there is always a shadow limit beyond which all TXs are declined. one of my family member shadow limit is around 12L since 9 months & it's still no increased. He had spends upwards of 45L on that card

Yes if you have made a spend upwards of 8L in a month (3-4x of previous statements) they do inform prior to clear dues & if there was no flag by system (genuine spends) no financial review
