Not over leveraged and live in Bangalore city. I have may be 6-7 cards in which use only 3 cards.

Sorry for the delayed response. I do have 14 credit cards in total with an total credit limit of over 14 lakhs.

Age shouldn't be an issue. But looking at other posts it seems like over leveraging is the issue in my case.

If you already had cards from 6-8 banks, probably, you are over leveraged (as per SBI standards). What's your ITR income figure ? And, what's the total of all your limits of all your existing cards ?

Don't they get to know that one is over leveraged by checking the CIBIL manually?

When I decreased my cards limit from idfc n hsbc they told again limit cannot be increased. I was ok with decreasing since these are not my primary cards. I reduced from 10L to 5L in idfc and 5.3L to 2L in hsbc

I have PL interest rates of 10.25% and 20%. I can digest any interest rate to manage a short-term crisis. I am over leveraged. I understand the risk well. My eligibility wont fit based on salary. Because my EMIs including cards are well above 2L pm.

What is considered over leverage? If your total CL is half of your ITR, is that okay?

If your Credit limit range crosses above 1.5 times (Estimated) your ITR then SBI may consider you over leveraged. Lucky I have not crossed even 1 time of my ITR value, very few LTF card and limited paid cards. I was waiting for SBI to approve my card so that I can freely apply for other cards :)...

They consider Combined Credit limit from all banks as per credit bureau More than 10 lakhs considered as over leverage. Best to have sbi cc in the beginning if ones to hold all other bank cc's

Can someone explain how SBI consider over-leveraging? For instance, I have 3 HDFC credit cards with a limit of ₹1.1L (shared). Since each card is reported separately to the credit bureau, will the total limit be considered as ₹1.1L or ₹3.3L? Similarly, how does this work for ICICI and Axis...
