Bank freezing issues are becoming the new norms for most of the private banks especially if it is opened digitally. You should visit the home branch and discuss the exact reason of suspicious activity or types of transaction pattern.

@pratik077 Everything is ok. Called their care team to raise my complaint and feedback against their so called system, and the people managing those system.

There is no suspicious txn. Nothing unusual. Only difference is previous month's txn was a bit (5x) higher than previous 3/6 month average. All are done by me. its nothing but flag in their system. I myself trying to study the pattern of their flag. May raise this issue again with their team through email.

Perhaps they wrongly updated my income on lower side. For me it's an unnecessary extra work. Nothing else. I am not worried at all.

@CRN Branch guys know me well. Probably they will also laugh by hearing this Flag in their system.

My point is bank should train their system well.

@CRN I guess you never dealt with PSUs apart from SBI. They would have called you to branch on a working day!

@Beyond I have never experienced such issues with any of the banks. I keep the transaction within the limit & update the profile if needed because most of the times if there is any mismatch between your defined annual income and your spending pattern limit this could potentially lead to freezing issues.

@CRN its just pure luck. Your proactiveness does not matter to algo
Sooner or later your experience will change 🙂
For example - PNB algo flags every upi transaction that ends with non zero

@Beyond is it? Asking abt pnb.
I was thinking to use this ac for occasional upi. U sure?
Beyond

@2025 Yes, I had to visit pnb because of that reason only, on behalf of a senior citizen relative recently
They had to be threatened just to accept signed application for unfreeze
Plus when I enquired branch official told me not to do non zero transactions

@2025 if you want reliability, HDFC is the best for UPI

@Beyond ok. Will test HDFC also. But I prefer using secondary accounts for txn with unknown parties.
Otherwise, I find SBI better.
AU also good. HDFC used to have some issues particularly at night. Uco very bad at night. PNB ok (wife's one), icici less tested, canara ok but heard some issues faced by others, cbi- have some issues, Rbl- initially had some issues.
Also, mostly I use CCs for merchant txn.

@2025 the best thing about hdfc is that they will give a call, whenever a security concern is there before total freeze
So always take the call you receive within 15 minutes of transaction
Also only hdfc unfreezes your account on email consent (if unable to pick security call) (no documents whatever is asked if within your profile)

HDFC CC on other hand is worse
