Looking at the charges I am wondering why they aren't charging for reactivation of dormant accounts.

Yes they have charges for everything. Even if u walk outside branch they will deduct branch walking charges. 1st bank i have ever seen. They charged me for cibil while applying cc.

This is old one. Right now no charges are being collected.

@Humanbeing Because RBI has explicitly prohibited banks from charging for the reactivation of Dormant A/c.

Cibil charges and experien charges they took in my cc Application last month that I can confirm.

But, I won't complain, because I feel bank pay some charges to credit bureau, so it's ok. I am ok as long as charges are fair.

Because somebody has to pay the charges, then why not me. Because I am the one asking for that service and bank didn't force me to take that service.

As an individual, I feel some of those charges are fair, including the cibil charges. Otherwise many would try to exploit and waste bank's resources. I am not in favour of that.

@2025 I dont agree in that cibil charges man. U applied for cc not cibil, u dont have any willingness to see ur cibil report. Bank wants to access ur cibil to decide whether u r worthy or not. It should be banks expense i.e an investment on u, so that they can raise income from u through their cc product. Charging for that cibil report, doesn't make any sense to me

Even old form has no charges mentioned

The form is actually old one. Yes charges for hotlisting still exists. But for change of mobile no, email, address and such got stopped around 2 years back, if I remember rightly. Even for issuance of card, no charges I have seen

I think @JayKay is correct on DC issuance, and address change related charges. I can confirm.

2 week back i went to branch, there was another form ,no charges mentioned in that form.

Today They placed these forms only for all SRs. So these are new
Aspire may be exempted i feel.
One has to try on Sbgen

@2025 see in the form bro,there also not mentioned insurance charges. Only annual mentioned

For SB/CA/OD/OCC- At the time of Account opening/ First time (legacy account): NIL.

Further change: ₹ 50/-+GST per instance

Note : RO Head will be the authority to permit one additional instance for change in mobile number in NPA account and rectification of mobile number wrongly updated.

Hope it gives some clarity, Canara will never be a good bank with shady charges
