    In my banking career, spanning from 1980 to 2012, I have seen many colleagues having very low levels of financial discipline and LRP committing petty mistakes n irregularities and losing their jobs in the end. That too, pensionable jobs. Stupid people ruining comfortable liffor self n dependants by sheer foolishness. Education has got nothing to do with discipline or self-discipline.

    People who handle lakhs and crores of public funds should exhibit greater discipline and honesty. While it may be challenging to gauge people's true intentions, banks can at least assess money management through the CIBIL score. Therefore, it is entirely justified to consider CIBIL during the selection process.

    I was a bit confused when I filled out my form for the first time last year, but after some reflection, I understand why banks have recently included this clause in their notifications.

    I believe that having 16 credit inquiries over 4.4 years won't pose a problem for me. I’m not planning to apply for any cards right now, as I need to manage my CIBIL inquiries carefully from here on out.
