Primary sim right? Cause u might keep changing secondary sim. It depends on ur use case. For me I keep changing the second with a third number.

I would do that for Secondary SIM. Reasoning is, if the device is lost, I can block my 1° SIM and reissue it by Aadhaar authentication and start using it again and use the 2° eSIM to track my device. So by doing this, I get a hold of my 1° SIM quickly and also not lose track of my device as well.

You can’t migrate eSIM to new device. You have to go to the physical store and ask them to issue a new one.

I am now always keeping primary as a physical SIM in my device.

You can migrate both. Your phone can store more than 1 eSIM.

Ofcourse secondary sim, if your phone gets lost then you want to have esim functioning to tract it, and no doubt you want your functioning esim to be a non banking sim in such situations

Thanks all for your comments here. I will use my primary bank number as physical SIM and secondary number as eSIM.

If a modern phone is stolen, it's for the parts. Most thieves ain't stupid enough to wait for you to track them down and will immediatly disassemble it.

I've been moving all of my family members to eSIM as and when they get a new phone. It's quite easy and just needs you to send an SMS (on Vi). The eSIM QR is emailed to you.
