Why an i9 12th gen? Why not get an i7 13th or even a 14th gen instead? In amazon i can see i9 12th gen at 37k whereas the i7 13/14 gen at 33-35k. Its cheaper and give you a lot more performance.

First thing that I do is to install Void tool's "Everything" for snappy searches of local files etc.

I do have powertoys but nothing beats "Everything". I use power toys for other things like workspaces, rename etc.

How is norton these days. I have moved to eset. In the past we used to call Norton as Not run for being heavy and slow

eset is better than Norton.

I always trust on norton and it works fine for me. Very much improved than previous versions. Just renewed 10 users pack for 2 years @6440. Only quick heal is comparable to norton other eset, k7, kaspersky and many more are just junk atleast for me.
