Isnt that the same Mr.Pralay Mondal who is now CSB Bank's md? No wonder his expertise in CC business is clearly visible in CSB Edge CC also. BTW just asking out of curiosity any idea what was HDFC 's first CC in 2003?

Not sure about others but I personally had never even heard about CSB bank until I heard about their Jupiter cobranded card last year. Partnering with Jupiter was a masterstroke by Csb bank and now everyone wants to have their card. Have been following CSB bank's performance since then and it has been phenomenal. Their stock price is also increasing steadily. There was a time when csb bank was performing very poorly and was on the verge of being acquired by Federal bank. Then they brought in this ex-HDFC banker Mr.Mondal. He has turned around this whole bank. HDFC bankers in those days were giants in their fields with the likes of Mr.Puri, Parag Rao etc.

Pehle ek baar visa se mastercard karva chuka hoon tab forex rate better mil raha tha and i had trips lined up abhi toh trip bhi nahi hai and rate bhi same ho gaya hai

@kuchbhi I talked to them, had my card blocked
They don't have a process to change the network of a lost card
So he took down my request and they'll first delivery a new card on master card and then once that is done they'll issue a visa card
I asked why it was this way and their explanation made sense so yeah..
I was trying to avoid wastage of resources and time which is why I didn't ask for a network change before card expiry - thought this might be a good opportunity to do it but alas

You were confused so have both now

a new card of visa would just have arrived!

I tried 🙈 i asked about it
They said that if you only request network change then card number and CVV will remain the same
So we have to do a fresh issue request first to generate new card number and CVV and then network switch

I wouldn't want the same card number and before
I'm very surprised I misplaced my card this has never happened

I was preferring visa because it's at least and infinite variant vs mastercard world which is what you get even with Swiggy card or other mid range cards

But it was master card right before which was lost

card number would definitely have changed if visa was issued
