Best app for bill payment

AsB

TF Legend
Until 15 July 2022, no app would charge any extra platform or convinence fees (as I tried), but now the things have changed as below :-

PhonePe - Re 1/- for any bill

PayTM - Re 1/- for Recharge, Rs 3/- for Electricity Bill

Freecharge - 1% of transactional value for any bill (Axis Bank's magic)

Amazon - Rs 0/- + very good cashbacks and offers (let's see, for how long)

CRED - Rs 0/- + cashback for bill payments (I know that this will soon change)

Bank Bill Payments - Rs 0/-

Google Pay - Rs 0/- , but no credit card allowed (in iPhone, don't know about Android).

Seems like the options to make bill payments is reducing.
Any more apps that you know , please update.

Amazon - you can pay only 5 bills a month using cards. After that you have to compulsorily use upi.

Gpay + Ace is best combo for recharges and bill payments, straightforward 5% cashback. It doesn't works on iOS but perfectly works in Android.

Amazon is also an excellent platform for bill payments and recharges if you have access to discounted GVs.

For the time being, Amazon Pay is great.

Don't know about apps, but you could try paying bill directly on billing company's website/portal, they don't charge convenience fee.

And regarding apps levying convenience fee for bill payment and recharges , sooner or later it was bound to happen.

Guys is there any app through which we can pay cc bill through another cc?
2/3 one such is Mobikwik I can think of but not worth since they will charge you convenience fee(around 2-3%) + wallet loading(around 2%). There are few other ways to do but not recommended!!

I Use Bank Website To Pay All My CC Bills Using Billers

Why have they introduced platform fee all of a sudden?
Because people are now addicted to the comfort of paying everything from home... Now these platform wants to mint money on that.... But In India.... It will have reverse effect... They will loose customers.... This is not west that people are ready to pay happily... Even 1 rs.... People still download songs from pagalworld.. Even today after all the world moving so quickly.... Some habits never change

Freecharge has been charging for a while, in fact I noticed this a while back, all of sudden there was addition of around rs 10 to my billing amount.

I use amazon pay exclusively or airtel app since I've airtel axis cc.

We Shouldn't Have To Pay Even A Dime Till There Are Free Alternatives In The Market... If You Remember Example Of Jio (Jio Started Charging 6P/Min For Jio To Other Operators) So People Started To Port Their Numbers To Airtel And Others... When Airtel Did The Same... People Ported To Some Other Operator... After 2-3 Months... They Made It Free Again... So Let These Apps Try When They'll Start Loosing Customers They Will Be Back On The Track... 😉

Yes.. There are hundreds of free alternatives... But the issue is not everyone knows it... These companies want to mint on it... They will surely get some amount of revenue... From people who just dont mind paying 1-2 rs...
