TVS Jupiter scooter - seeking suggestions

Hi All,
I am planning to buy a TVS Jupiter scooter - there are 4 models available in the 125CC category:
  • SmartXConnect
  • DT SXC
  • Disc
  • Drum Alloy
Among these I am buying the Disc model -- https://www.tvsmotor.com/tvs-jupiter-125/disc
If anyone is using this specific one, please share feedback.
What all to take care for before buying?

SmartXConnect is the latest model with bluetooth connectivity, and that iGo assist hybrid thing (electric push after driving some distance -- which will improve the mileage)
But I don't want these many features, I don't want fully digital panel and connectivity etc. More sensors and more features = prone to more complaints.
That is the reason of going with lesser variant.

Usage is very limited within the town --maybe around 5 km per day max.

I visited a nearby showroom and he told that on-road price will be Rs 1,24,500 including insurance, tax, registration etc.
Along with that, he will give full tank petrol, ladies handle and floormat.

Also how to pay using card? I am planning to swipe Atlas, so before that I will test swiping Rs 100 with IDFC First Wealth and see the MCC.
Will find out MCC and then use Atlas for full swipe. Which all MCCs should be avoided?

Are you sure you are going for petrol engine, not the electric one , as you are buying new..

yes not going for electric, sure.
If I fill petrol for 100 rs, it will run for 2 weeks. As I told before, I will be using it only for within town needs. Nothing more than 5km per day.
If I travel more than 5km, I will be using car. So this is only what I need.

Did you check with any other showroom ?
Drum alloy , base variant will be good .

Jupiter gives highest mileage in comparison to others .
thanks, I will check with 2 more showroons near my place. But there are only 3 showrooms, so I will be buying from one of them whoever quotes cheapest price. or gives more accessories or benefits.

I am using Jupiter 125 Disk variant from last 1.5 year and I must say that the ride quality is very smooth as compared to activa, activa's shockers are very stiff, each and every bump is felt hard, whereas Jupiter shockers are smooth, which provides smooth ride quality on bumpy roads. The fuel tank is also placed in front which is very convenient for filling and gives a lot space for boot space.

Ask the showroom for boot light and safety guard frame for front indicator and for back light and indicators.

One drawback is, Never fill the fuel tank fully as when the fuel is full is leakes when we put it on side stand .

Rest everything is great 👍🏻

I guess this settles it.

@cardio_guy over to you. Which card CB or Miles ?

@prankster @praful1947 thanks, I maynot compare FK. One of my friend is working in a TVS showroom, will chekc with him if I get any additional discount as such.
Thanks a lot @TUSHAR. this is what I was looking for. Very helpful.

@HumorSimpson If I go via cashback card, I only have Tata Neu Infinity, 1.5% for offline swipe. (I think there is some limit, so I may not get 1.5% of 1.25L = Rs 1875/-)

I will most probably go with either Atlas - 2EM/100 or Mariott Bonvoy card - there is an offer running from March to August - if you use 2L before Aug 31, they will give 3000 points bonus. I have already used 1.3L on that card since March.
If I go via Atlas, that will help me reach the 3L milestone = 2500 EM additional as well.
But before that I need to check if they charge any extra MDR for card use.

OK. HDFC TNI doesn't have any limit on online or offline. Only on upi scan, a limit on earn of 500 coins .

If usage is limited then go for Disc brakes variant...
No use of these isxghdgs blah blah models...
I have TVS Ntorq top model with Bluetooth connectivity but I rarely use it...
Moreover you have to install their app and data will be shared
Hence go for Disc brake variant...

For credit card these dealerships charge 2% extra.. so keep that in mind

I bought TVS iQube recently from Flipkart with great discounts, much higher than what showroom was offering

Ordered from FK while sitting in the showroom infront of the sales guy. Although I am not sure if Jupiter is available for online order on FK.

However Jupiter can be ordered from TVS website with no card MDR and possibly 5% cashback on SBI cashback or 4% with Atlas

At what price you got iqube as compared to showroom price?
