I've been searching youtube and forums tfor someone to explain how to book these alliance flights. I'm well aware on how the miles work for individual airlines (like avios for Qatar airways, or krisflyer for singapore airlines) but always found it confusing on how to use JAL miles to book for qatar airways or vice versa and similar booking for other alliances, like star alliance.
Would you mind to explain how you did this booking or redirect me to a link or post which explains this? Thanks in advance mate 🙂
Hello, does signing up for JAL require 5000 miles as registration fee?Its different for each airlines. For Japan airlines, once you create the account, you have to wait for 60 days cooling period and then only you will be able to redeem airmiles. There are 3 options for award tickets in JAL site.
1) JAL award tickets - For their own flights only
2) Partner airlines - There are list of partner airlines and we can select the desired one.
3) One world award ticket - in this, single itinerary may contain different one world airlines.
Highlight: For JAL miles redemption, we can add one stop over for free, that makes JAL special compared to others. In my recent trip, I had a stop over at Doha and explored one more country for free of cost. There is no restriction of number of days in a stop over.
I think, yesDoes JAL have a family pooling option? Better than BAs Household?
No, it's completely free like other airline programsHello, does signing up for JAL require 5000 miles as registration fee?
I heard it somewhere especially for the award ticket case. Since it's not a fake call and you itself called the customer care, hope it should be fine. Anyway, you can ask them to provide you any secure link for the payment.Hey guys slightly off topic and was going to get some clarity
just cancelled a qatar reward ticket within 24 hours of booking.
Apparently you don't pay a fee only in the case of revenue ( if you cancel within 24 hours)
So I'm being charged with a fee of 25 usd and while thats okay, what I found weird is when I spoke to the customer care they said I would need to provide my card details to them over call for them to charge the 25usd.
I've never heard of this before, where they ask for the card details over call. Is this normal? Anyone has an experience?
Yeah the executive told me that hell request to have this amount cut from the tax amount and then refunded to me.I heard it somewhere especially for the award ticket case.
