Bank of Maharashtra || Rupay select debit card || REVIEW

This is just for information for people who hold Rupay Select Debit card (i am holding Bank Of Mahashtra- RSDC). When i sent a query to Rupay team regarding the benefits update frequency / renewal of benefits -every year or quaterly, i received following response.

"Please note for the Bank of Maharashtra Rupay Select Card starting with first 6 digits as 6524** the benefit frequency details are based on calendar year and can be redeemed once service out of each category and the details are as follows:

OTT ( Amazon Prime/ Zee5/ Sonyliv): Yearly once
Cab (Ola/ Uber): Quarterly
Healthcare (SRL/Thyrocare): Quarterly
Spa (For Fountains/ HR Wellness/ Kairali/ Aromathai/ O2 Spa/ Lakme): Quarterly
Fitness ( Cult.fit 1 Month/ Cult.fit 3 Months): Quarterly
Golf Round: Quarterly
Golf Lesson: Quarterly "

Previously i thought all benefits were updated yearly only, but now i can use the coupons extensively.
Bank of Maharashtra offered RSDC for free by opening a min bal 25k account.
i hope its useful for all members.

Yeah , ideally 25k balance should do,......but looks like there's a gap in the info mentioned in website, vs what is happening at branches.... Others (who are customers ) may clarify this better!

Even we showed to bank manager who asked the banker about this.

The banker told system wouldn't allow to apply RSDC if we have balance less than 1lakh.

just 1 lkh balance needed or aqb of 1 lakh needed. can you confirm it.

There's a lot of confusion in this thread regarding getting a RSDC from BOM... I will visit a branch in Mumbai on Friday and share my experience regarding the balance required for getting this dc

That's required for making the RSDC LTF as per BSS25 account variant... Read the previous comments in this thread...

Folks, I opened BSS25 account on 3/3/25 with just 25K funding. Staff raised RSDC request while opening account. However RSDC was not dispatched. Visited branch couple of weeks ago and they said there was some issue and will raise another request.

Raised a complaint in the Grievance Portal today morning. Received a call from the branch by noon to come and collect the card from the branch. Visited branch and collected card. Unable to set PIN and activate the card as BOM ATM in the branch was not working. Need to check if there is any other BOM ATM nearby tomorrow. No other option like IVR, Mahamobile, IB provided for card activation like other banks.

Don't know whom to blame.

I was trying open an BOM account. . But stuck with entered name and PAN name mismatch. This issue I am getting for the first time. My pan name and entered name are same but idk the branch is high on w**d it seems.

Yes can be opened online but better to visit branch as per my experience

I have family pension account with BoM and I must say their service or people serving there are worst. Reading all comments here also makes me feel, its better to skip this bank for RSDC and opt out other banks like Canara, PNB etc. per individual requiremetns.

He was not asked for 1l requirement... Their website is also very confusing... In the BSS25 account variant the rupay select variant which u get has yearly benefits but in the debit card section the rupay select card which has quarterly benefits has 1l MAB... Don't understand which is correct

DC section is correct as that has been updated recently...i think 1 April 2025, it was mentioned in star mark at the bottom somewhere.

As informed earlier, i visited tilaknagar branch in Mumbai today.... Branch staff and BM both were confident that rupay select dc LTF can be applied with BSS 25... In fact they told they issued many rupay select dc with BSS 25 to many customers and 1lakh MAB is not required... Gave my documents today and got the account opened immediately and got the passbook... Entire process was smooth.. they have informed cheque book will be delivered to my registered address and dc will come to branch and they will call me... If I am unable to come they will send it to my registered address...

So i hope this clarifies that rupay select dc can be generated with 25k aqb with the BSS 25 variant and no need of 1 lakh MAB...
