Is anyone aware of whether HDFC plans to introduce ITC as a partner for points transfer? With the Magnus devaluation, it would be very helpful if HDFC points could be transferred to ITC. I am also interested in transfer to Bonvoy - but not interested in the new HDFC-Marriott card so I am hoping...
You could wait until you have a large-ish spend and put it entirely on your Regalia. Then - despite the poor rewards - put all spends on the Regalia for the following 3 months - then email them for an upgrade to a DCB. Repeat for the next upgrade.
I have a somewhat unhelpful response. If you had spent 80K+ this month, this plan makes sense. Since your spends are at 50K instead, I would simply *miss* the milestone - not worth buying stuff just to get there (assuming you are a non-Burgundy member). Since you just got the card, I am sure you...
One option - perhaps not the best one - is to ask HDFC for a second Visa card. They would split your credit limit across the DCB and (possibly) a Regalia card (5L + 6L). Between the two, you could ensure that all spends go on a HDFC card. Down the road, write to them asking about an Infinia...
I was in a somewhat similar situation. I do not think ITR without salary slips will work for this. I think the path is CL + spends. My CL for the upgrade was 8 (a while ago) so I think 9.5 is well over threshold. Therefore you simply have to put your existing expenses on the DCB (see point (1)...
This makes sense and I do think you will benefit from an Infinia (it's very good for domestic travel). I do not see a shortcut to it though. Here are the three steps (1) search these forums for information on how you can use credit cards for a variety of payments - I am not an expert but I have...
Perhaps not what you want to hear but for the spending profile you describe, it may not be worth pursuing a super-premium card. I believe a DCB and an Infinia work best for users who spend primarily through their credit cards. There are many many customers who spend a lot but not using their...
The one weak point - as your RM pointed out - is that you don't have significant spends on your Regalia. I personally think your CL is okay. Since you've written to many email addresses perhaps something will work out. If not, I suggest that you put *all* your spends on the Regalia for a period...
No no, that's not the impression I wanted to convey. The DCB is a good card with multiple benefits and an excellent reward rate. Given that you have it LTF, congratulations! I wanted to tell you two things: (1) be aware of its limitations - this is so when your CL grows, you could consider...
You will suddenly run into a shop/establishment that does not take Diners, meaning you cannot rely on it as your sole card (run a search on these forums for such examples). You could also end up with a significant spend at a new place and then find out that the place doesn't accept your DCB...
A few years ago, I wrote to HDFC saying that my DCB had poor offline acceptance (and on tap-to-pay machines). They offered to split my credit limit across the DCB and a Visa card (Regalia). So: check your credit limit after the upgrade to DCB - if you have a CL of 7L, they should be willing to...
Two points in this regard. (1) An upgrade to Infinia cannot hurt your chances of a further upgrade to 'Reserve' - if and when it launches (and assuming it is actually slotted in above the Infinia) and (2) If it's FYF, you have nothing to lose - see point (1). If it's not FYF - ask for FYF.
I pay a (personal) driver's salary each month with a Magnus using Bharatnxt - and have received the milestone bonus without issue.
Re. your question: I don't think you will get a clear yes or no from anywhere except the bank (maybe not even then). My guess is that as long as your Bharatnxt...
12L+ does not sound right. I know it was - recently- a credit limit of 8L (on an existing HDFC card like DCB) plus spends north of 1L per month for the past 6 months or so.
