Nobody actually knows what would happen but based on the interactions with Citi CC, I believe the card would stop after merge. Axis would reach out before that to offer options to move to Axis card (which ones is unknown at this point)
Gold membership benefits are for CV gold member only. If you are travelling with family and on same PNR, I suppose they can use the priority check in counter since nobody would stop them if you go together.
However other benefits like additional baggage and lounge etc are not available to them.
You can call CC and they would give you the options of cards which care approved for you and you can choose out of them. That would be instantly generated and no cibil hit would be there.
However it won't be LTF.
Bills are generated separately with each having a separate billing date.
You can call Customer care and ask them to change billing date of both cards to same date (as chosen by you). Still you would get 2 bills for them albeit on same date.
