SBI Air India Card Rewards T&C

Maybe 60% of the times. When it came, it came within 45 days of the booking. If not, try to escalate all the way to the ombudsman.

Understanding the Benefits and Rewards of the IRCTC Premier SBI Card

Since I wasn't travelling all that much by train (and HDFC Infinia gives comparable reward points via smartbuy from train travel), I asked to change my SBI IRCTC premier card to something else. They could provide no option. So I put in a request to cancel the card. Got a call, I explained the...

SBI Cashback devauluation in the store? Real or rumor?

There has been a devaluation. Starting June 1, government spends no nonger get reward points. Pity - I guess SBI was the last major service provider to provice RPS for govt tansactions. I used it for NPS (for myself, and other family members using addon cards). Also for things like urban...

Air India Flying returns - revamp

Can someone having SBI Air India Premier switch to SBI Vistara Prime? The reason I'm evaluating this is I want to hold onto the silver membership (I got Gold from Axis CV, and then I surrendered, so it got downgraded after 1 year)

Proceeds from sale of Nuvama fractional shares

Nope. Anything less than a whole number is dealt with as follows - The fractional entitlements get pooled, and are held by a trust. The trust then sells the shares, and then the proceeds are given back in proportion to the fraction held. Here's the scheme of arrangement, see point 7.6. It...

Proceeds from sale of Nuvama fractional shares

Anyone who was holding Edelweiss shares as on June 2, 2023 would be entitled to shrares of Nuvama, after the demerger. The proceeds from the sale of fractional shares were supposed to be given back to the investorors. Has anyone got the amount for those fractional shares? And if so, when? I...

    Stock trading by government employees

On another thread, I had asked whether one can invest one's savings with one's spouse, and its implications. There are various implications like clubbing of interest income, treatign it as a loan with interest, etc. Now, it so happens that my wife is employed by the government of Rajasthan, and...

A titan has fallen. SBI Air India signature, one of the best cards for paying rent, will no longer accrue reward points for rent payment after April 15. My cards which still give points for rent payment are 1. SBI IRCTC premier 2. IDFC first select. They give 0.8% and 0.6% rewards...

RBI Cracking Down on P2P Credit Card Transactions (Rent)

The first casualty... Though if one nitpicks, non-accrual of points for rent payment is nothing new, though the timing is suspicious. Wonder if rent will still qualify for milestones. .

RBI Cracking Down on P2P Credit Card Transactions (Rent)

Reg. rent, factor in the fact that there's a 30% standard deduction. So even if parents are in 30%, they get taxed at 21.xx%. Gifting to parents should be fine, but gifting to spouse attacts clubbing provisions, which has been discussed on other threads.

RBI Cracking Down on P2P Credit Card Transactions (Rent)

Not defending them, but stability of banking system is also RBI's responsibility. Allowing rent payments on CC leads to deferment of rent payment, which probably leads to higher discretionary consumption, but also increases indebtedness of households (not everybody is a points hunter - there...
