On PhonePe and Paytm Business QR, it has mostly stopped working. I guess by default the option is closed. But on GPay, Bhim and BharatPe QR there's a 100% success rate for me.

If you have Regalia LTF i would suggest not to downgrade. But if you persist on switching anyways then confirm with them, until and unless they specifically say its LTF it's not. If you're requesting via Netbanking it will clearly state there.
