Wo

Uld suggest to go for sbi or axis vistara card
SBi denied my card swap request to Vistara so I got air India (CC told me that sbi doesn't give free tickets on renewal, only for joining on sbi vistra), now I can apply for sbi Vistara after 3-6 months only. and axis Vistara also i can apply after 3 months as recently got Magnus ( might regret getting Magnus :p)

Get magnus converted into vistara anyways it is getting devalued.

Only better thing here is cancellation insurance which isn't provided by axis and sbi
SBI also offers cancellation insurance 6x 3.5k each. But IDFC offer of 2x 10k each might be more useful for some people.

I need to choose between SBI and IDFC. Can anyone share their experience with IDFC cards and customer care in general?

Which card would you prefer for Rent payments? Amex or Vistara Signature (assuming Amex Plat travel)

Vistara signature counts milestone on rent right?
I would first complete the 4L milestone on Amex then spend the rest on Vistara.

I guess having a second Vistara card that gives a free ticket and an upgrade voucher would be good to have if you are traveling with your wife (assuming the wife is not eligible for cards). we can book 2 tickets and also upgrade vouchers for both (assuming we book 2nd ticket with points earned, as the upgrade is not possible for an award voucher flight.).

But I would prefer SBI Vistara prime + axis Vistara signature for this as we get CV points every year on milestones. and we can book tickets with a CV and apply upgrade voucher.
SBI and Axis Both cards are for 3k+ GST while idfc alone is a 5k+gst. So if someone is looking for 2 tickets with family, I would go for sbi prime + axis vistara signature combo.

its a no brainer fgo for sbi
idfc is charging you 2k extra on joining and annually just to give it back to you as cancellation benefit which may or may not be used every year

Agree. plus we are getting the silver tier with both sbi vsitara prime and axis Vistara signature which automatically gives an upgrade voucher. Not sure why IDFC is promoting it as a special perk xd. Or idfc gives a second upgrade voucher apart from silver tier?

It is poor compared to axis and sbi mainly because idfc is charging 2k extra as jf and renewal fee.
Secondly lounge access is activated on monthly spend of 5k unlike sbi and Axis.
Don't know the reward rate of axis and sbj
Axis charges 3,000 for annual fee and renewal too. IDFC gives you a class upgrade voucher for the extra 2k and has a better reward rate too. Also better issuance bonus if you spend 90k on IDFC in the first 3 months.

All around, I think IDFC offers much better value.

with axis, you get silver tier club Vistara, which gives an upgrade voucher. not sure why IDFC is promoting it separately. or they are giving extra upgrade vouchers apart from the silver tier?

Wouldn't the silver membership be linked to one account and we'll be getting only 1 upgrade voucher?

Also, why Amex plat travel? For 4 lacs you'll only get 40k points which are equivalent to 20k Flipkart voucher
But for Axis vistara 4.5 lacs will give you 4 premium economy tickets which are easily equal to 30-35k rs

Ops I missed that. need to check how it works with different banks? let me check the forum, technically we should be getting 2 vouchers as both the cards are from 2 different banks.

So forum search suggested that we can hold both the cards and award tickets will be credited for both. But there is no clarity about the upgrade voucher, if someone knows please let us know here.

If you have 2 cards then you can get 4 tickets at 3L spends itself (1.5L on each card)
So basically for flights Vistara cards are good but for hotels Amex is good right? Does Amex has any flight transfer partner? Or just hotels and branch vouchers?

Yes because free flight ticket is a card feature, but upgrade voucher is a membership feature. So I don't think 2 upgrade vouchers are possible

Yes lots of people hold both Axis Vistara and SBI vistara for flight vouchers

Having a flight voucher is better than getting (more) CV points because dynamic pricing can be an issue while booking with points sometimes

IDFC is offering reward rate of Vistara Infinite card (upto 1L monthly spend) while costing half as much

Or we can say they're charging 70% extra than Vistara signature/SBI for the same premium economy ticket and reward structure
