Airtel Money Wallet changed their MCC code to 6540:​

Now the merchant name is showing as Airtel Money | AIRTEL PAYMENTS BANK LTD (MCC changed to 6540 | Wallet Load / Prepaid Card / Financial Institution)

Payment Gateway is Razorpay

No more rewards !




If anyone has Millennia prepaid card here do try the transaction it the show the MCC code on screen.

Millennia Prepaid card shows mcc even before doing transaction i.e. at OTP page?

I can consider getting this card then. Any charges?

Yesterday I did a txn of Rs. 10
Instantly I called HDFC Customer Care and got the MCC.

Hmm, interesting.

For my call to HDFC, I got a good agent and was able to get MCC for all transactions done till yesterday. Only for today transaction the person was not able to see.

By the way called BOB too, and there the agent was great. He gave MCC on his own as 4900 saying that Merchant Category is seen as Utility and so wuld be 4900 only.

But even though we can successfully make the payment to "AIRTEL" , it is considered as a utility bill payment in Axis Flipkart cc .As far as I know, there was a major devaluation in Flipkart axis cc resulting in zero cashback on utility payments from March 05, 2023. So I guess there is no way out of this..

Nope, not familiar with this trick. How does it work?

Uber to paytm trick still works ig but frequent transaction failures on paytm wallet makes it a bit difficult.

I was able to load money to Airtel wallet with my Flipkart cc about 2 days ago. Ig it still works .Check if your limit is exhausted . Only 9000 per month is allowed for mini kyc wallet
