IDFC Future First A/C - My Experience

is it not possible to open this account without visiting a branch? it's kinda far away from me but still within 30 km (someone in this thread mentioned they denied opening their account based on that).

Hey @Anindya98 can you please dm me, i am student of IIT Kharagpur, i don't think there is a branch of IDFC in Kharagpur. I don't know how to dm
Hi, Anindya might have shared his RM contact details with you. But the point is that RM is not ready to open Future First by any means atleast in my case, even I have told him to open and take 1L instantly as IP.

That guy was not ready to open by any means be it with docs/without docs/IP, nothing. If now he opens FF, then it will be a good sign.
Who knows my condition and terms better than you 😀 😀
Because they don't get any commission on those accounts, and visiting anyone's home to open that account is not feasible. So, they are right from their end also. As he is a student, he can easily complain and get the account within days.

RM said the branch is too far away, and he can visit if I can do 50k initial deposit. Later got a call from BM that if I ever visit Kolkata, they are ready to open an account

I have a 25K AMB account but want to close it and open the FF account. do they open it for alumni also or only for current students? also how to check the list of colleges eligible?
For current students only. I asked them in X and they called me stating FF a/c is still available to open. When I asked them to share the updated list of eligible institutions, they denied to provide the list.

yeah they don't have a publicly available list as such and it seems more like a drop down list thing (like employer name in credit card applications). about the current students thing, I think I read somewhere (perhaps in this thread itself) that people are opening it at the age of 30 too. honestly this is a good program but poorly marketed and full of ambiguity.

I actually opened the account at the age of 28, I was a PhD student at that time. I went to their branch but none of them are aware of this. So I emailed them after that. After a day a lady from the customer care called me and verify my details. She said someone will come to my place the next day. Then next day a officer came with a tablet. He tooked my photo, aadhaar card and PAN card. In 5 min the account created. The only issue I faced is to give a code for my institute but he called to the team and he gave him the code. The account is really helpful for students.
