No suspense, Card recently launched.
Just like HDFC support doesn't know about the Millennia RuPay card, similarly IDBI doesn't know about the RuPay Select Debit Card.
U r attaching some screenshots of app right. Mentioned that account variant name and mab.
There's one semi urban branch near me, i might go this week

I inquired at the branch today. The staff member told me that this card is only available for accounts with a ₹10 lakh balance (I forgot the exact name of that account).
She was aware of this newly launched card but didn’t have much knowledge about it, so she called the backend team that handles debit card processing. From them, she got the information about the ₹10 lakh balance requirement.
I told her that might be the condition for getting the free RSDC, and that I had no problem paying the fees with a normal account. However, she said that even with fees, it cannot be issued for any other account variant.
Later, I informed her that I know people were able to get this card with the Advantage account. She again called someone, and they said that when the card was first launched, some customers were able to apply, but that was due to a mistake on the bank’s side. They have now stopped providing this card to other account variants.
I then told her that maybe this is a newly launched card and that’s why there is confusion. I requested her to contact me if she gets any information about whether this card can also be applied for with the Advantage account.

Yes 10L is too much, that too for rsdc hard to believe
So I told her PSUs provide this card with bare minimum balance.

They are just misselling 100%
Last I remember the highest account variant they have is royale plus which requires 5 lakh mab.
They don’t even have such account variant with 10 lakh mab requirement.

There's no confirmation regarding rsdc eligibility.

Maine Kiya tha 3-4 saal pehle. But fir bank ja ker kyc kerna pada tha.
