The Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card is India’s first hotel co-branded credit card, launched through a strategic partnership between HDFC Bank and Marriott International. Operating on the Diners Club network, part of the globally accepted Discover Global Network, this card is tailor-made for frequent travelers and loyal Marriott guests.
Designed to cater to India’s rising premium travel segment, the card offers an array of exclusive benefits including Marriott Bonvoy points, complimentary Silver Elite status, and milestone-based free night awards. It marks a significant move in the Indian credit card market, where co-branded travel cards with global hotel chains were previously unavailable.
During the launch event on 24th August, 2023, Parag Rao, Country Head – Payments, Consumer Finance, and Marketing at HDFC Bank, noted that this card was over two years in the making, with a vision to bring world-class travel privileges to Indian consumers. With benefits like priority late checkout, exclusive member rates, and bonus Marriott Bonvoy points, the card is positioned to enhance the lifestyle and travel experience of premium users across India.
