UPI International - List of countries you pay through UPI outside India:
Before start, let me tell you one important thing. All bank UPI apps, 3rd Party UPI apps and all banks will support International UPI transactions after 30th September, 2022.
UPI International acceptance is still under development, currently very few merchants accept UPI payment through UPI QR outside India and very few International banks accept P2P UPI International payment.
Note - Only P2P UPI and P2M UPI is free in India but International UPI charged MDR fees, You may get some rebate or cashback, rewards offers in future on International UPI transactions.
NPCI also working within International Online merchants, fintech companies, International banks to accept Online UPI payment.
Last week, NPCI CEO said, “We also have UPI AutoPay for recurring payments. Currently that solution works domestically, but we plan to expand it to international markets as well.
So, International UPI AutoPay will also coming soon, we will soon pay subscription based payments on International merchants through UPI AutoPay.

How will Indian customers view the exchange rate applied on their purchases ?
They can refer to their bank statement which will show the transaction amount in INR.
What currency merchant will receive my funds in?
Payments will be credited into your account in SGD the next day, similar per other NETS transactions.
What are the charges applied for BHIM UPI acceptance ?
1.8% transaction rate is applicable for BHIM UPI acceptance on dynamic NETS QR and static SGQR.
How can consumers make payments using BHIM UPI in Singapore?
Simply get the consumer to launch their BHIM UPI app, select the scan QR function before directing their cameras towards your store’s QR code.
For SQQR sticker, consumers will need to key-in the purchase amount in SGD. The BHIM UPI app will automatically convert the SGD amount to INR. Guide the consumer to check the acknowledgment box and click ‘Pay’ to proceed with payment. The BHIM UPI app will prompt the consumer to key-in their UPI PIN to complete the transaction.
For dynamic NETS QR, the BHIM UPI app will display both the purchase amount in SGD and the converted amount in INR. Guide the consumer to check the acknowledgment box and click ‘Pay’ to proceed with payment. The BHIM app will prompt the consumer to key-in their UPI PIN to complete the transaction.

Tourists from India who have downloaded their bank BHIM UPI app can use the app to make payments at selected merchants in Singapore.

As a part of the launch, FM Nirmala Sitharaman also made a live transaction using BHIM-UPI to purchase an organic product from a Bhutanese OGOP (One Gewog One Product) outlet, which sells fresh farm produce made organically by local communities in Bhutan -
5) LIQUID GROUP TO POWER UPI QR ACCEPTANCE IN 10 ASIAN MARKETS -
UPI QR Payment will accept in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.
