Infinia Infinia renewal fee waiver

My Infinia renewal is coming up next month and my spend is around 9.2L this year. As I am barely missing the renewal fee waiver criteria, is there any precedent amongst forum members for the renewal fee waiver if the spend criteria is missed by low margin. I have read somewhere (probably reddit) HDFC may waiver is 70% of spend criteria is met. I know its effectively 3000 rs only for renewal considering the points, still, a waiver won't hurt. Any experiences?

If it is 70%, then the smart people at HDFC may ask you pay the remaining 30% using Infinia for 5X as a carrot 🙂
