Electricity Problem MVVNL UPPCL

Complaints don't help on serious or recurring issues.
Till last year, I was facing the issue of voltage drop at my home. After my home was renovated, our power supply was shifted from our front gate to the parking gate, and the electricity department provided some other phase.
Now, the issue was that there weren't many people living in houses on our rear street, and the electricity wires weren't properly installed, which couldn't support the load of my place. As soon as an AC was turned on, the voltage dropped to the lower end of 100 volts.

Filed a complaint, and their linemen visited. solution? Write a letter and visit the local electricity office with some neighbors and request our JE to get a new line on that street. WTF?
I asked them to install a new wire from my place to the nearest pole from my place on my cost, and they agreed, but told me it would take another week as they were busy.
I couldn't wait that long, and was compelled to call my father's friend (at a senior position in the local electricity department) and tell him about this whole ordeal.
Result? I was told by uncle that the required wire is not in stock and is expected the next day and my issue will be fixed.
In the early hours of the next day, the wire was replaced without any visits or cost borne by me.

Moral of the story, sarkaari kaam bribe karne se bhi kuchbaar nahi hota, ya to twitter kaam aata hai ya koi contact nikalo.
