Is it worth to hai HDFC Tata Neu Infinity FYF

Hi Team,

Advance sorry for long explanation.

I applied for TATA NEU infinity rupay from hdfc website but application got rejected as my older application was <6 month.

But after 2 days Tata neu app started showing offer. While applying is said no fees. I misunderstood it as LTF due to hdfc year end offer. But turned out its FYF. No fees for first year*

HDFC issued the card on today's date i. e. 28th Dec 2024 but its FYF.

From past experiences grievance team will not make it LTF for sure.

So my question is , is it worth to keep that card active by paying 1499+ GST

I am mostly looking this card for UPI and Occasional tata brand Shopping such as Tanishq, Croma, Bigbasket.

I am not regular User of bigbasket or star bazar but Occasionally I use these brand so considering it will be around 10-30k for year if not made any big electronic purchase.
And on UPI it will hardly cross 20K for year.
Making it total of 40-50k spend for year + if any electronic item purchased from croma..

Will i be able to extract my annual fee with this usage

I feel the best UPI credit card right now isn't Tata Neu cards, rather IndusInd plat RuPay or Kiwi cards.

Firstly to get 1.5% cb you need to use Neu app to make to UPI transactions, which has a poor interface and is a tortoise speed app.
Its so much easier to use gpay/phonepe or any other app to make UPI payments.

IndusInd RuPay gives 1.2% (after deval, before 1.9%) on non-cash redemptions.
Tips for non-cash (TWID on Jio app/myntra etc)
Kiwi gives much higher returns if spnds are higher.

I would compromise for 0.3% to 0.5% cashback, for not to use Tata Neu app for UPI payments which takes lot of time to open and usually requires a faster internet which isn't available sometimes on mobile data.

I have used both Neu Infinity and...
